FANTASTIC
PLASTIC MACHINE Theme of Luxury
from the album LUXURY
1999 Bungalow
This insane track would be easy-listening if it wasnt cranked
up to 200mph. It is the music that accompanies Daisys trip
to the newsagent which culminates in her browsing through HUGE
FAT COCKS and being winked at by an elderly shopkeeper. A
sitcom first.
FUZZ
TOWNSEND Smash It
from the album FAR IN
1999 Fruition
This tracks comes in, just as we whip over to the reception of FLAPS
magazine for some Patrick Cox confusion.
Fuzz Townsends album FAR IN is a rather overlooked
little gem, which we shall be hearing more of later.
HIGH
LLAMAS - Homespun Rerun (Cornelius Remix)
from CM - Cornelius Remix Album
1999 Matador Records
also on LOLLO ROSSO by the HIGH LLAMAS
1999 V2
Original Version on COLD & BOUNCY by the HIGH
LLAMAS
1998 V2
This is the track that accompanies the arts centre bar scene, starting
straight after Brian cries You probably wont get in
to Tim & Daisy.
This gorgeous track by the High Llamas is so good, there is an entire
mini-album LOLLO ROSSO devoted almost entirely to remixes
of it. It can also be found on an excellent album of remixes by
Japanese uber-producer Cornelius, CM
JERRY
VAN ROOYEN SANDOW OFFICE
from the CRIPPLED CHAMPIONS/ THE CRIPPLED BARGAIN
1998 Crippled Dick Hot Wax!
The bizarre jazz that accompanies the opening section of Vulvas
performance is an track from some obscure German B-movie from the
70s. It can be found on the sampler album from Crippled Dick
Hot Wax records and includes snatches from their entire output.
Come on, any album called The Crippled Champions has
to be worth a listen doesnt it?
DAVID
HOLMES RODNEY YATES
from the album LETS GET KILLED
1997 GOBEAT RECORDS
- After the Vulva, we return to the bar for red wine, twiglets and
this laid back classic. Used recently in those animated NatWest
ads too.
NB -
The music underscoring Brians second confrontation with Vulva
is an original track by Guy Pratt (Spaced's very own composer)
called Let Me Hear The Music. Not available in the shops
- or anywhere for that matter.
